Update for Mad Eye:
Thank you to everyone who has donated, we have raised all the money needed for his surgery! He is doing so much better now and his eye swelling has dramatically reduced in the past week. He is gaining weight, energy is increasing, and has started to play. Unfortunately, he also has a fractured leg, so he has to be confined. It’s being monitored for now. He will start his vaccinations next week and then we will do pre surgery bloodwork and X-rays to check how his fracture is healing. He is currently scheduled to have his enucleation
on August 22nd. I will update again after surgery. Once he has healed from his surgery and fracture he will be up for adoption if anyone in Okinawa is interested in adopting him. Thank you again for supporting Mad Eye!
This is Mad Eye Moody, he has lost most of his vision due to a severe eye infection. His left eye has ruptured and will need to be removed; we’re hoping to try to save the right eye but it’s also quite damaged so it’s possible he will need a double enucleation.
Mad Eye was found on the side of the road in Okinawa, Japan. Unfortunately, by the time he was found the infection had already severely damaged his eyes. He will need to wait about a month before he is big enough for surgery. He is currently underweight and is being hand-fed. He’s not able to smell or see his food due to his active infection. Please donate to help Mad Eye if you’re able to. Thank you!!
