The world lost a true legend recently. Father, husband, friend, mentor, and role model to so many, Matt Davis (aka Mad Dawg) lost his battle with cancer on August 1, 2024 at the young age of 51.

Matt married his high school sweetheart, Jen in 1996 and eclipsed 28 years of marriage before his passing. His world revolved around his family, including son, Mitch and two daughters, Charlie and Grace.

In addition to his family, Matt was very passionate about his career, and the motley crew organizing this initiative were lucky enough to have met Matt at Sherwin-Williams. Matt’s people skills were among the best I’ve seen from a manager. He was always making sure his people were in a good mental state before tackling work issues. People just aren’t built like that anymore and we’re all lucky to have been graced with his presence.

With that said, we’ve organized this gofundme to lend some relief and support to Matt’s wife and 3 children after his passing to cover for expenses incurred and incoming expenses for the family. Matt would have 10000% given you the shirt off his back without knowing you so we’re asking anyone that can to donate to lend a hand.

You can donate through this page and/or attend the “Mad Dawg Memorial Fundraiser” on Friday, October 18th at Rookies Sports Bar on 6913 W 130th Street in Parma Heights from 6-9 PM. $30 all you can eat/drink, games, and baskets to support the cause.
