MACY MACHETTA

January 12, 2003 - April 22, 2023

Macy Machetta, age 20, was suddenly taken from her family and friends by a senseless act of domestic gun violence on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Denver, Colorado.

We are all shocked and heartbroken by the tragic loss of this wonderful, brilliant, caring and independent young woman.

Many of you know Macy's mom, Jessica Machetta, a former journalist in Missouri, Florida and Colorado, who now teaches special students in Denver. Jessica is devastated, as are Macy's older sister, Claire Jurgensmeyer of St. Louis, Mo., and her father, Keith Machetta of Columbia, Mo.

As friends of the family, we have started a fundraiser to assist with expenses. We hope to raise $50,000 and it would mean a lot if you could help as you are able. We also ask that you kindly share this fundraiser. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and kindness. Thank you.
