On May 25th 2020, my sweet great-nephew had a terrible accident; He fell onto hot coals in his back yard. Macsen was rushed to the local hospital with burns to both hands and feet.  The hospital made the decision to transport him to the UF Gainesville burn unit.  The accident left him with 2nd degree burns covering both hands, a small area of one arm, and both feet.  A very small area of 3rd degree burns on his feet will not require surgery as the doctors believe they will heal on their own, just at a slower rate.  Macsen has a long, painful road ahead of him and his parents need all the help they can get.  His Mommy is currently on maternity leave, given that his baby sister, Marlee was born April 28th.  Although health insurance will cover the majority of the costs associated with his injury, the deductible and 20% out-of-pocket expenses will certainly be hard on this young family.  If you are able, please consider donating to this fund to assist with their portion of the medical expenses and to help ease their burden.  They will also have many follow-up and therapy appointments for Macsen and will have to travel from Fernandina Beach to Gainesville.  My niece and her husband are wonderful, loving parents. Seeing their baby boy in such pain is unbearable.  Please continue to pray for them as they navigate this unfamiliar road.
