Please can you help Mac….

Poor Mac has had a nasty fall which has shattered his right front leg. He spent Friday night in emergency and we have been told the fracture is unable to be repaired. The vet said he will need to have his leg amputated. Cats cope well with 3 legs but this kind of surgery is very expensive and we don’t have the funds to pay for it.

Mac is currently on pain relief and he is being transferred to his fosterers vet this morning for X-rays and to arrange surgery.

The emergency care alone cost $1500 for a consultation and one day of overnight care. There will be further considerable medical costs for surgery. We are trying to raise at least $3500 for Mac’s surgery and post operative care. Please help with a donation if you can.

Update - 12 January

After his vet appointment on Saturday morning, Mac was happy to go back home with Lisa, his foster carer but he wouldnt eat. This morning, however, he ate three treats for breakfast and as you can see, his spirits are better.

Tomorrow at 8am he’s back at the vets where it seems inevitable that his right front leg will be amputated. Please keep the darling boy in your thoughts.
