Hi, my name is Yana and I am fundraising for my younger sister's family while she and her husband focus on taking care of their 10-month old son, Mac. Early in the new year, Mac was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia) after a scan revealed he had lesions in his spine, hip and leg. Due to the aggressive nature of this disease and Mac's young age, treatment is long and requires both parents to miss a lot of work. This additionally impacts their four year old daughter, Marina, who adores being an older sister.

This fund is imperative for the family to stay financially afloat while Mac receives the care and attention he needs as he endures long stays in the hospital. Funds will be used for day to day necessities such as blankets, towels (crucial as Mac frequently gets nauseous), groceries, toys, school supplies, gas money, etc. Any amount helps not only to afford an expense but to send some relief and hope in a time of great distress.

The photo above is from last October when Dane and Nadya strengthened their family bond by getting married with Mac and Marina by their sides. These four warm every heart in the room and bring smiles to anyone they meet.
