Mack’s IVDD

My name is Melanie. I am a wife, a mom to a wonderful 15 year old Step child and a mommy to the most wonderful fur baby anyone could ever know. Mack came into our lives so unexpectedly! An acquaintance couldn’t care for him anymore and within a day of meeting him he was ours! He instantly fit in with our goofy family! His squishy face & silly spirit brings joy to everyone around him. He is the best part of all of our days. Unexpectedly Mack started showing signs of back pain, we brought him into his vet and Mack went into respiratory distress. Due to his critical state and inability to breathe normally he was anesthetized and intubated in order to give his body time to recover. Macks x-rays showed aspiration pneumonia but a few hours later he was taken off supportive care and he was breathing on his own! We didn’t think we were going to be able to bring him home, but we did! His first day back, he seemed to show so much promise. Last night at 2 AM he became stiff and started breathing extremely hard and eyes started to roll back in his head. His back legs are starting to buckle. Our worst fear is here IVDD. We are in desperate need to save our baby. ANYTHING HELPS ❤️
