Medical alert dog 4 Mackenzie
Donation protected
Mackenzie is a 6 yr old little girl from Redford, Michigan who was diagnosed with type one diabetes dec 13,2013. Mac has had a hard year with her diabetes. She had her first seizure in class last February. She has been fighting very high blood sugars for the last 5 months and the doctors aren't comfortable raising her insulin because of her age. Mackenzie's mom has been working on getting Mac a diabetes alert dog from diabetic alert dogs of America. Having an alert dog will help Mackenzie's quality-of-life and also will help Mackenzie get her medicine or getting precautions in place within an hour faster then she normally would by alerting Mackenzie's parents or teacher that she needs help. With the dog it will allow Mackenzie to sleep through the night without her mom having to wake her up for sugar checks. The dog is trained to get her mom if her sugars get high or low. This last year Mackenzie has not had a normal childhood besides going to school. She can't go and stay the night with friends or even family. She can't go out and play with her friends in the summer time because it's to risky for her to be away from her ma. Having "cooper michaels" as Mackenzie has already pick the name for her friend. Will improve her everyday life tremendously! And every child should be able to enjoy the simple things. I ask this holiday season if your able to help please help my little buddy and make a donation to Mackenzie's medical alert dog fund and let's bring cooper michaels home to Mackenzie! Thank you and god bless!! You can follow Mackenzie's progress, Accomplishments and meet this beautiful little angel on her Facebook page at Mackenzie's diabetic alert dog fund
