Mackenzie Voorhees

We are looking for your support. Our special, athletic, easygoing 10-year-old Mackenzie (Mackie) has been suffering from a mental health crisis affecting her physical health. After chronic stomach pain and vomiting from an unknown cause, she has developed anxiety, depression and an eating disorder called Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) which makes her afraid to eat or drink. She has spent over 6 weeks in Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, where, unfortunately, the needed services do not exist. Her doctors and family have determined that the best and only option for recovery is an Eating Disorder Clinic in Dallas, TX. We are unsure how long her treatment will take, but we know travel expenses will be associated with this long-distance care. Your donations will make visits from mom, dad, and her 12 and 8-year-old sisters possible. These are challenging times, and our family is asking for your prayers and support. We're praying that we get our happy, healthy Mackie back soon.
