Mackenzie and Sammy

Hi, my name is Stephanie Martin, Mackenzie’s mom. I am setting this account up to hopefully take some burden off of them.
On January 4th, they found out they were expecting a sweet baby! They were both excited and nervous. They did bloodwork, so a gender reveal party could be planned. On Valentine’s Day, Kenzie received a call from the doctor “to not do a gender reveal, it looked like the baby had Turner Syndrome and may not make it”. Of course she had never heard of that and by googling it, found out she was pregnant with a sweet baby girl. She started seeing a high risk doctor in Louisville, they did an ultrasound and said the baby had a cystic hygroma (fluid filled sac) at the back of baby’s neck. He told her the baby’s heart was trying to get the fluid off, so it was working extra hard. He told her, she would probably pass. Two weeks later, she went back and more fluid had developed, around her heart and lungs as well. He told her to not make any plans for the future, because she probably would pass in the next two weeks. At that time Kenzie was 16 weeks along. At her 18 week appointment, he said baby girl still had a good heartbeat and is a fighter! But fluid was still accumulating. At her 20 week appointment, he told her if the baby could make it to 24 weeks, they should be okay. Fluid should start diminishing and the doctors can do more at that time to help the baby.
On Saturday, April 20th, she felt the baby move for the first and last time.
April 30th, they went for 22 week appointment and their sweet baby girl was gone.
Mackenzie will be going to the hospital soon to deliver and then we will all be planning a funeral with them.
Sammy is the sole provider for them. And he will be off this week for sure, if not longer.
We all prayed for a miracle, but God has something else in store for them and that sweet baby. I know we all find comfort in that. But seeing my daughter and Sammy so upset and lost, breaks me. I can’t do anything to “help” them. That is why I thought this would help them financially with the cost of everything.
If you can’t give, please pray for them. Thank you in advance. I appreciate any and all help.
