Mackenzie and Carver after losing their twins

My niece Mackenzie has had a very hard couple of months. In March, her father (my brother) deteriorated rapidly from liver failure and died unexpectedly. Shortly thereafter, her grandfather (my brother’s father) also passed away unexpectedly. A beacon of hope throughout all the heartbreak was Mackenzie finding out that she was pregnant despite being told by doctors that she would likely never be able to conceive a baby. And not only was she pregnant, but she was expecting twins! Sadly, Mackenzie’s dreams of motherhood were taken away from her on Aug 13, 2022 when she went into pre-term labor at 2 days shy of 25 weeks gestation. Despite the best efforts of doctors, both babies, Parker and Preston, passed away on August 14.

Due to her pregnancy being high-risk and complicated already, Mackenzie has not been able to work since July and is now recovering from both a vaginal birth and a C-section while also mourning the death of her twin boys. I am hoping to raise money to help Mackenzie and Carver cover medical expenses and also living expenses while they deal with the pain of their loss.
