In Memory of Macka Foley
Donation protected
On Monday, August 3rd it was tragically discovered that Macka Foley had unexpectedly "moved on" as he referred to it. At this current moment, we are still waiting for the exact cause of his sudden passing and will update everyone once the coroner provides his report.
On Saturday, August 1st Macka spoke to the owners of the gym he trained out of and explained that he was suffering from a stomach ailment. "Fu*king Sizzler, dont ever eat there" he stated in his New England accent.
Macka Foley, a Vietnam veteran & former professional boxer turned actor and boxing trainer was loved by each and every person he came in contact with.
For the past 7 years, Foley was a fixture at Fortune Gym in Hollywood, California. From teaching his specific technique of "breathe and relax" to playing crazy 8's, to doing mitts with professional fighters and actors, to individually greeting each & everyone who walked through the door. Macka was the light of Fortune Gym.
We are trying to carry on this 'light' and make the financial burden for the family a little lighter. Macka needs to be transported from Los Angeles, California to Maine (his home town) in the next week for a proper Veterans burial with his family. In lieu of flowers, we are accepting donations through this page. The goal of this campaign is $8000.00. All donations will go to Macka's only daughter, Caroline Foley and his only grandson to cover the costs of transporting Macka Foley.
***In the event the amount exceeds the $8000 campaign - we are first going to be giving back to boxing, the sport he loves and all of you love and also the Vietnam Veterans.

Lets send Macka home.
