Maci is a very young single mum who has endured more than most of us could imagine. After losing her mum to Covid three years ago, she has been raising her 2 year old son Thomas on her own. For years, they moved from one piece of temporary accommodation to another, facing the uncertainty and hardship of homelessness. Recently, they were finally given a permanent home but the house is far from safe or comfortable.

Their home is missing even the most basic essentials. There are no carpets or flooring to protect against the cold, nails are exposed, and the wooden stairs remain unsafe for a toddler, I’ve add some photos of this and despite these challenges, Maci is doing everything she can to give Thomas a safe and loving childhood.

The Liverpool Echo recently shared Maci’s story to shed light on the homelessness crisis families like hers are facing, which you can read here: Liverpool Echo Interview.

I have been financially supporting this young family as much as I can (added the bank transfer screenshot as evidence), but they need more than I can provide alone. I am reaching out for help so that Maci and Thomas can finally have the safe secure home they deserve. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to making their house liveable and giving this young family the chance to rebuild their lives, after helping them move last week I realised how much help they both need. Thanks for your time in reading this, Maci is very grateful for assistance of just taking the time to read, if you can provide any help or assistance it doesn’t have to be financial.

thank you

UPDATE:

Final update: Firstly, i wanted to say thank you once again for the support. Financial support for someone you'll likely never meet is something that defines humanity and i am indebted to you all who donated. You've literally changed their lives. Now, for some evidential imagery! You'll remember that the house was lacking some flooring/carpeting. A couple of things i'd like to share on this, the funding paid for flooring, and someone to fit it! and there was a small amount left over to pay for the bedroom units you can see in the rooms here. Secondly, the Renters Rights act was passed recently, to ensure that NOBODY ever moves into a privately rented property like this ever again. Basic requirements like carpets are now a human right) The UKG have removed things such as short tenancy evictions, no fault evictions, and critically tenancy bidding! You can read about it all here (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guide-to-the-renters-rights-act/guide-to-the-renters-rights-act#rent-in-advance) but i want to end by saying, i will forever EVER be thankful to this community for this help. I am always here, forever in your debt to return the favour. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
