Machos hit and run surgery

This is our baby Macho. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Obedient, loving and all around the sweetest dog anyone could ever have and SO loved by everyone who meets him. After searching for him for 13 hours and being gone for 15 hours I finally found him. Someone had hit him, dragged him into a empty church field and left him to die. When I finally found him, his tongue was dry and cracked, he had ants all over his legs and had been eaten by the mosquitos. I called 911 to get help picking him up and they took him to VMC off us1. They found his leg was broken in 3 spots so he was left unable to get himself seen or home. He’s being treated with heart worm meds due to the mosquito bites. They transferred him to pet emergency and refferal in palm beach gardens where he is awaiting to have his leg put back together with metal. Which is going to costed $5,100 The Vmc trip alone costed me $501.00. He is expected to be there for almost a week which is going to cost an additional amount of 350$ and will need therapy, and 8 weeks of x rays as well. We also found out he now needs a cat scan that will be $1,800 and if he needs surgery could be another $4,300. Breaks my heart to see him in so much pain, they have added fentanyl patches and they have moved some meds around. We got to take him home but had to bring him right back due to his crying in pain. We also found out a month before Christmas our landlord was selling and had 30 days to move or we wouldn’t be in this situation to ask for help. Everything is very much appreciated and thank you so much for your support. We are beyond over whelmed with the generosity of everyone in our community. ❤️

How someone could hit someone’s family member and hide them behind a church where he couldn’t be found and left to be eaten alive by ants, I have no idea. My poor baby has suffered and is suffering currently due to the lack of humanity in the person who hit and hid him. I was told by a lot of people he deserves to have justice that he will not get. I was advised to make a go fund me by multiple neighbors from a great neighborhood site as well as friends that tried to help me find him to make a go fund me to help with the cost to give him the best quality of life he deserves so whole heartedly to have!
