Machen Family House Fire

Shane and Mandy Machen and their two sons suffered a terrible tragedy today. Their world was turned upside down when they lost their home to a house fire. Quite simply, there was nothing left for their sons to come home to after school today; nothing left of the life they left just this morning when they went off to work and school.

Shane is a decorated Marine, who served our country faithfully during several tours of duty in the Afghan war. He works for Heldenfels Enterprises, Inc. in San Marcos as a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager. Mandy is a registered nurse in San Antonio, who helps deliver babies and bring them into the world. Their sons are 13 and 11 years old. They are caring, wonderful people and they sure could use the communities help to get back on their feet.
