My sweet 3 year old niece (Macee) was not feeling well for about 4 days, her parents took her to the instacare and was told it’s just a virus and she will be fine. Well she continued to not eat, hold a low grade fever and wanted to do nothing but sleep so knowing this isn’t there baby girl they took her to Riverton Primary Children’s Hospital (the next day), there they were told her blood sugar was at 783 and she needs to be transported to the big Primary Children’s Hospital downtown by ambulance so they can start her on insulin, they learned she has type 1 diabetes and was in diabetic ketosis. She has now been in the hospital for 24hours and has had numerous test done and everything to keep her blood sugar where it needs to be. My sister (Amanda) and brother in law (Dave) will be up there with her till Thursday and once they go home, they will need to be with her to learn how to adjust to this new life style. I ask that we try and raise money for this sweet family to help cover medical bills and get Macee started with all the insulin, test strips etc that comes along with type 1 diabetes. This little family of 3 just baught a new house a month ago and is still trying to get used to that, anything at all will be so helpful and greatly appreciated by all of us.
