In May 2014 Macedonia Church purchased a 120 year old church located at 39 West Avenue, Norwalk, Connecticut.  This historic church did not have a working kitchen or dining hall.   In order to continue with our outreach work in the community, we need to construct a fully equiped commercial kitchen, a dining area, a food pantry and clothing distribution center in the lower level/basement.   

For over 30 years Macedonia Church ran an outreach ministry helping people in our community infected with the AIDS virus, as well as those dealing with substance abuse, homelessness and other unfortunate life issues.  The outreach ministry had a drop-in-center and weekly support groups where dinners and luncheons were served.  Food and clothing was also distributed and those in need of medical attention or housing were assisted in finding local available resources.

Unfortunately, without a kitchen and dining area, our outreach ministry has not been able to operate as effectively as in previous years. For this reason it’s essential that we finish the kitchen as soon as possible.  Once we have the necessary finances we can move forward!
