My name is Andy, and I am organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend, Tanya MacCallum (also known as Tanya Nicolle), and her family. On Friday, December 27, 2024, just days after Christmas, the MacCallum family's cherished farm home was tragically destroyed by a devastating fire.

In this heartbreaking incident, the family lost everything—their home, personal belongings, and beloved pets. Three family members were hospitalized; two have been discharged, but Tanya's father remains in the ICU at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Tanya is one of the most caring and selfless people I know. Through her work as a writer, comedian, and producer, Tanya has been a steadfast advocate for making creative spaces more welcoming and inclusive. Whether it’s championing mental health through her storytelling or creating opportunities for others to explore their own creativity, Tanya has always been someone who uplifts her community. She has never sought recognition for her efforts, but her work has touched countless lives and helped to build a stronger, more connected community.

Now, Tanya and her family need that same spirit of care and generosity that she has shown to others. Rebuilding their lives after such a profound loss will be an immense challenge. They need to secure a new place to live and replace essential items like clothing and furniture.
