Help with Macaroni's Emergency Surgery & Vet Care

Hi Everyone!

Short story: Our sweet Macaroni was attacked by a bigger dog and had to undergo hospitalization and surgery, including metal plates and screws in her jaw. The bills were for $10,000, and we just don’t have that kind of money. Making this page was very hard for us, but any help is so appreciated. Thank you ❤️

Long story: This is Macaroni's (Mac for short) parents. Please help raise funds to pay for the emergency vet care and surgery for Mac! Mac is our beautiful Havanese. She has a rep for being the sweetest and friendliest dog in the neighborhood, to dogs and humans alike. She loves to share the love and make people smile. Unfortunately, while being dogsat she was attacked by the host's dog while in their care.

We received a call from the host that they had been waiting for two hours in the emergency room but were not being seen because the ER was busy, so they brought her back home. By the time we got to Mac, there was a lot of blood pooling in her mouth and scrapes in her eyes, along with noticeable behavioral changes. She was physically hurt and emotionally traumatized. We took her to the vet as soon as possible, who noticed mandible issues and stated upon closer examination that she needed jaw fracture surgery immediately within 24-48 hours. She was rushed to the ER again, this time being seen. She was hospitalized in her state to prioritize her surgery for the next few days. She was assessed to need metal plates and screws/implants. She is a less than 2-year-old puppy who has undergone so much trauma. She is currently on four different meds, has had many exams while there and will need to be monitored with limited activity for the next eight weeks of recovery minimum. She will be going in for more exams and a follow-up with need for revision and reoperation, depending on how it heals in the next few weeks. She had a deep open wound in her mouth bleeding from the attack, so there was considerable possibility for infection after surgery, along with several teeth loss in the process. She is in much pain, but her spirit is alive.

All donations will go directly to paying for Mac's vet, hospital, surgery, meds and recovery costs. Your well wishes and donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly in advance. We hope to have Macaroni back to the happy and healthy dog she was, sharing her love and a high five with everyone she comes to meet once again.
