On Saturday, April 4th, our friend Mac, was involved in a motorcycle accident in Sarnia Ontario. Mac was riding down Plank Road at Churchill running errands when a driver in an oncoming pickup truck turned left directly in front of him. Macs’s motorcycle impacted  side of the truck throwing him to the pavement. Mac was then airlifted  to London for care.
Fortunately, being a responsible rider, he was wearing all of his protective gear which saved his life.

Unfortunately, his injuries are severe. Mac  has very long road ahead of him including the possibility of multiple surgeries, recovery, long term rehabilitation, and potentially a lifetime of disability.

Mac, a safe and dedicated truck driver is the primary income earner in his household of his wife and 4 children. His family will be losing a substantial portion of income and will be difficult to maintain a positive and healthy environment for his family during this trying time.

The prognosis of full recovery is good at this time. The optimist in us realizes that he’s lucky to be alive. The reality is that Mac  faces the possibility of surgeries and rehab for another several weeks at which point he’ll need care.

Due to the current Covid19 outbreak, He’ll be unable to interact with his family while in hospital.

Please consider making a donation to this GoFundMe campaign to assist his family with lost income, medical expenses, and childcare while they work to get back to health and their new normal.
