Hello Family and Friends!
My name is Maaliyah Keller and I am a recent graduate from Xavier University of Louisiana, where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology. I want to start off by saying thank you in advance for all the support and love that has been giving to me throughout the years. This past week on June 2, 2017, I was accepted as an Atlantis Project Fellow to travel to Huesca, Spain from August 6th-August 19th as a medical fellow. While over in Spain, I will be working 20+ hours a week shadowing doctors and rotating through different clinical areas gaining experience to become a more well-rounded applicant for medical school. It has always been a goal of mine to travel and explore the medical field on a global level. Since I have been accepted into the fellowship the process has been moving swiftly. Although I am overly excited about this blessing, my financial situation sets me back a few steps. I am praying that with the help of family and friends I will be able to accomplish my financial goal of 3,500 dollars. The 3,500 consist of my tuition, passport, visa, flight ticket, and incidental funds. I was always told that God would not bring me this far to leave me and I am standing on his word.
