We all know our sister, best friend Maafio, best dancer, teacher, mother of Sandra and Oscar, living in Accra, Ghana. Always making us laugh and giving us energy!

For 10 years now, Maafio is having serious pain with her spinal cord. She has tried everything, physiotherapy, massage, injection, pain killer. It was only helping for a short time. For a couple of weeks now, it has become so severe that she cannot sleep anymore, and hardly walk.

Fortunately we found a good doctor at 37 hospital who checked the latest MRI scans. The doctor highly recommends a surgery of the spinal cord (spinal disks) in a partner hospital in Turkey. Maafio knows someone with the same sickness who has done the same surgery in Turkey a couple of years ago - and it went really really well.

The whole trip will cost 17.000 Euro, including flight, accomodation, surgery. She needs two surgeries, and will stay for 30 days in Turkey, Istanbul.
