We're raising money for our campaign to reach a wider audience, so we can pressure the UK Government to issue a full Formal Public Apology for decades of cruel adoption practices following the Second World War - right up to the late 1980s.
Historic forced adoption had impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of mothers, the children they lost and fathers who wanted to remain part of their children's lives.
Families were torn apart simply because the parents were young and unmarried. Children were disenfranchised before they could even speak - unable to protest as their lives were permanently altered, without their consent. The trauma is lifelong and affects all aspects of a person's life.
Everyone affected is growing older, people are beginning to lose hope and some have already died.
We want and need justice for all those affected.
Please help the Movement for an Adoption Apology as we fight for justice.
