Help a Family Rebuild After Domestic Abuse

In 2022, my 3 children and I went through domestic violence, after he gave me a concussion during a fight over my phone while I was trying to escape his days of abuse. We moved onto a 10-acre property I received in the divorce. He kept the house, and I kept the separate vacant property as I had undergone substantial financial abuse since 2017 and I could not afford a long drawn out court battle over the home.

“What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine” takes on a whole new meaning for me these days.

The divorce was final in November 2022. Since the day I filed the PPO, I have been harassed by his family and friends, just a few examples is his mom approaching me to tell me I wouldn’t have anything if it weren’t for her son, to childish games like throwing my business tshirt with cat poop in it onto my property, to paintballing my camper, shed and beyond. I’ve been reporting, documenting and trying to continue on with my life and separate myself from any and all possible situations that involve him or those who are continuing his abuse for him. I’ve been healing through the verbal, emotional, mental, and physical abuse.

In January 2024, he reopened the judgment of divorce. The final court date was 10/08/2024. The decision was that I give him the shed I work out of, which was owned through my business. I have experienced major losses since I met that man, and I cannot afford to lose more, especially the building I earn my income from. It’s just another form of abuse, and the judge is taking his side and I’m forced to return the shed to his property in 45 days. Paying him for the shed he decided was not an option. This is part of financial abuse as he was aware that I work and provide for my children from this shed.

The money I receive from this GoFundMe will help me move my equipment from my business into a storage unit, the shed my abuser insists he needs professionally returned and placed, and purchase another shed to replace the one I am returning, and place a more permanent heat solution in our current home than what we have going on now.

I am just trying to abide by these orders and keep a roof over our heads and not lose my job.
