Emma Grace Martin is the beautiful, vibrant, energetic, 18 year-old-daughter of Chuck and Kim Martin. Emma is looking forward to her senior year next year and dancing at Ballet Lubbock.
Emma's life was recently seriously interrupted when she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes long-lasting inflammation and ulcers in the digestive tract. The medications for this disease are incredibly expensive, and as a private pay patient, Emma and her family are faced with staggering medical bills.
The Martins' need to pay for the accruing medical bills for multiple tests, procedures, the week long hospital stay, and perhaps more importantly, the mounting prescription costs that Emma must have long term to put her in and keep her in remission, prompted the development of this gofundme account.
