Hi my name is Kim Calladine & my fiancé is Ian Willis.

On Tuesday 14th April 2026 around 5:45pm we were out walking our beautiful little westies Rufus & Bonnie near our home.

we came face to face with a couple out walking their Rottweiler & Yorkshire terrier. The Rottweiler was off the lead our 2 are always on the lead every time we take them out.

The Rottweiler came towards us & went for our eldest Westie Rufus I managed to block it and the dog took a grip of my leg. It then turned on Bonnie and the rest was a complete blur she managed to break free from the lead and the dog and she ran.

once I caught up with her I could see the damage the dog had done to her leg.

she’s had to be taken to the vets put under anaesthetic for X-rays so they could see her injuries

she has a dislocated ligament. Right now she has a cast on her back leg with splints to help hold it in place this will be trialed for the next 4 weeks to hope this can mend. If not she looks like having surgery & we are looking at a £5,000 bill

Nottinghamshire police were called and basically said there’s nothing they can do! Even though this dog has attacked before and definitely will attack again! It has attacked other dogs and people.

Royal Mail do not deliver to the house because of the dangerous dog these people are irresponsible dog owners. My worry is that this dog could attack a small child next!

I’m seeking help from my local councillor & MP to help me get some kind of justice for my poor sweet little girl.

We have also spoken to the local dog warden who have sent the owners a letter to make them aware they know about this dangerous dog.

I'm at a point now where I don’t know where to turn for help & I cannot believe there are no laws in place for this kind of thing.

I've posted a video of the owners on my social media of the owners and it has now had over 500k views people all over the country have messaged us for support & asking for updates on my sweet little girl. I’m so grateful for all the support we have had locally from our town.

What I’m asking is if anyone can support however little this will help towards further bills to help get our little girl right we would really appreciate any help we could get.

If anyone knows of anyone I can go to for help I would really appreciate it as I believe the police have failed us massively.
