Em- Rescued From Sex Trafficking

Hi everyone! I never imagined in a million years that I would be asking help for a young woman who was rescued from a sex trafficking ring in a suburban of South Chicago on August 27, 2021.
A detective from the Adult Protective Services SVU unit in Chicago’s DA office called me to have her picked up because she had been the victim of sex trafficking in a mentally handicapped home/retirement center. There are pending charges against the perpetrators but one is still at large. Obviously, we dropped everything and went to move her to Oklahoma. We had NO idea this was happening to her and because of her brainwashing and condition, she was too embarrassed to tell. A neighbor alerted the police after a suspicion. She is in a safe place now!
Emily was born blind and attended a blind school in Tennessee until she graduated high school. She later moved to Indiana with a friend but was soon left alone in a housing project to fend for herself. She is 24, completely blind, mentally challenged, young and beautiful, and a Type 1 uncontrolled diabetic. Since 2020, she has been sexually exploited and sold every night for sex and raped by disgusting vile men for months. Unfathomable!!!!! Unfortunately, 100% confirmed and true by police records and the Detectives.
She left with nothing. Absolutely nothing but basically the clothes on her back and a few tattered items. We are raising money to get her back on her feet with clothing, toiletries, a safe apartment for handicapped people or blind living, medical care, mental counseling, diabetic supplies, Braille and blind supplies, possible a seeing eye dog for protection, and basic necessities such as food, etc. All of her SSI has been stolen and will take awhile to get reinstated but still only pays for a fraction of necessary expenses.
Her parents are uninvolved and incapable of taking care of themselves and Emily doesn’t want to subject herself to their chosen lifestyles. She has half siblings that are 12, 2, and 3 years old but all have been adopted since birth and are being cared for by other family.
I’m pleading with the community to come together and help a broken beautiful girl heal and let her know life can and will be different. No amount is to small to make a difference in this young woman’s life! I won’t stop until I make sure she gets the life she deserves. No one on Earth should live the hell she has had to live for 24 years, especially a vulnerable, handicapped, young, child-like, adult.
I can’t thank you enough for your help, I know in today’s world, Covid is ravishing the world and it’s not everyones priority to deal with any extras BUT it sure would help one child maybe get the help and healing she desperately needs.
