In 2016 I began to seriously pursue work in the performing arts.
I toured Catalunya for a year with a theatre company, shot some corporate films, tested my own writing at open mic nights and scratch festivals, became a member of the National Youth Theatre, met a great friend whilst touring a two woman musical around rural Lancashire and Cumbria, took part in R&D on the Lawrence Olivier stage at the National Theatre, and made a lot of coffee to pay the rest of the bills.
My decision to begin full time training comes from a desire to create impactful work which offers audiences new ideas. I want to set myself up to have a meaningful career. And I want to do all of this Up North.
There was only 1 place I wanted to train...
So, I applied, auditioned and have amazingly been awarded with a place at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts!
From September 2019 I will be studying for an MA in Professional Acting, culminating in industry showcases in both Manchester and London.
I am raising money to pay for the final term of tuition fees.
It is a 15 month full-time course, and the final term cost is £2500.
Can't you just pay for this yourself?
Whilst I very much dislike asking for money, unfortunately I am not able to fund the course entirely by myself.
As mentioned above, I have been and will continue to make a lot of coffee until the course begins, and during term holidays. This money will be used to keep myself fed, housed and heated.
Luckily I am eligible for a postgraduate loan which will cover the first 4 terms of tuition.
But I really need your help.
I hugely appreciate your generosity if you are able to spare some of your hard earned cash to help me on my way to drama school.
