Support needed for Luna’s surgery to remove Tumour

Hi my name is Angela. We have a stray cat that my daughter took in about 7 years ago. At that time Luna was a kitten then. We found her on the neighbour roof, Luna leaped into my daughter arms, it was winter and she was cold and hungry. Luna formed a bond with my kids straight away, we knew she was once loved by someone- Luna was so friendly and loves to head bump you. We have 2 other cats- one a therapy cat and a stray kitten that we took in as the local shelter would not take due to the shelter being full. This is how I ended with 3 cats. We did take Luna initially to a vet when we first found her, we were advised she had a microchip but no register owner and the vet advised they couldn’t take her and to return her to where we found her. She would sleep under our house and cry during rain and thunderstorm. She is still scared of heavy rain and thundestorm and usually run away and hide. Luna ended up staying with us. She is an adorable cat that stay by my daughter side day and night, very different to the other two. Recently we notice her back leg was causing her to limp. Which has cause her claw to be forced out and unable to retract. After taking her to the vet, we were advised a tumour was growing in her paw and that she would need surgery to amputate part of the paw and further testing and investigation require to see if there was cancer cells. The vet mention amputating the back leg if cancer cells detected. Currently the area on her paw is quite raw and Luna was given antibiotics and pain relief. We hope she will be with us for a bit longer.
