Hello everyone,
We are reaching out today to ask for a little help for a very special member of our family—our three-year-old Golden Retriever, Max.
Last weekend, while playing his favorite game of fetch at the local park, Max chased after a tennis ball and suddenly collapsed with a sharp yelp. After a stressful trip to the emergency clinic and several X-rays, the veterinarian confirmed that Max has a severe tear in his cranial cruciate ligament (CCL), which is essentially the canine equivalent of an ACL tear.
Right now, Max is in a lot of discomfort and cannot put any weight on his back leg. The vet has explained that without a specialized surgical procedure known as a TPLO operation, Max won't be able to run, play, or live a pain-free life again.
The total estimate for the specialist surgeon, anesthesia, hospital stay, and the weeks of physical therapy afterward comes out to $3,500. This unexpected expense is more than we can manage on our own right now, and we want nothing more than to see our happy, energetic boy chasing his favorite toys again
