Hi everyone, my name is Aaron. My whole life, I’ve been an athlete—always in motion, always pushing my limits. As a personal trainer and someone who loves to hike, movement has always been my passion. But on November 30, 2024, my life changed forever when I was in a horrific car accident in Death Valley—one that nearly took my life.

I was left on the side of the road before help arrived and was eventually airlifted to a hospital. When I woke up, I heard every athlete’s worst fear—that my body would never move the same way again. My injuries were extensive: Pelvis fractured in multiple places, Torn meniscus, ACL grade 3 sprains, Fractured foot, torn acromion in my shoulder (equivalent to a torn meniscus in the knee)

While I’m beyond grateful to be alive, the reality of my situation has been overwhelming. The mounting medical bills and legal fees have left me feeling like surviving has become more stressful and costly than if I hadn’t made it.

To add to the burden, while driving through Nevada as a registered firearm carrier, my car was searched at the accident scene. Since I had unknowingly crossed into California, my firearm storage was deemed non-compliant, and I was charged with a misdemeanor. I hired a lawyer, who thankfully got the case dropped, but the legal fees only added to the financial strain.

As someone who has always prided himself on self-sufficiency, asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But after this life-altering event, I am humbly reaching out to my community for support.

I truly believe God gave me a fresh start through this traumatic experience, but the financial burden of not being able to work due to my injuries is weighing heavy.
