This is hugo, my brothers 9month old therapy dog. We got this pup as a way to encourage my brother , who had severe social anxiety and complex needs, to leave his room. They formed an unbreakable bond and gave my brother a new lease of life. Unfortunately disaster struck and hugo was hit by a  car , after my brother was out on one of his 5km walks with him , the driver was not at fault as hugo had been stalted by some drunk aggressive man and ran out of the fields into a road. Not only did this collision cause serious injury and shock but it has now taken my brothers life line away. Hugo was treated for shock and his injuries returning home after a 2 night stay in the vets but they dont offer the specialist orthopedic surgery he needs, a referral was made but my mum who is a single parent has not got the amount that they are asking. I know some people will be sending hate for this post , but I'm hoping some will open their hearts and donate something small so we can raise the funds to give hugo back his life and my brother back his walking companion! Although we are all happy to save and reach the goals are self time is running out so this is a last desperate attempt to raise funds. Originally my mum was told it was not fixable and today a specialist surgeon has said he can do the surgery with payment upfront , as mum already asked for a payment plan but he refused . He made me happy in my worst days . The sad thing is he use to slap me with that pAw if I didn’t share my chicken, I told my family it’s gunna be ok he’ll have to use the other one but they just can’t get that he won’t be running around ? So young so sad so so so sad , a dog might not mean anything to ppl who don’t have one, but to him his our family. He’s our baby of the house if we didn’t wake up to him crying every morning for a wee We’d be so weird ? We got him at 11 weeks, we’ve bonded and loved this dog since he was a pup, he grew to big way to quickly we wasn’t expecting this big pup to be the size of a planet the time he was 3 months, My poor mum has worked extra shifts just to cover the costs of treatment so far being told only option was amputation, we searched far and wide to find a payment plan vets but no luck.  Keeping the dog in a splint and sleeping with him in the floor so he doesn't jump up on the bed and cause further damage trying to heal the bones without the op hasnt worked and now a specialist has said they can do it , but mum doesn't have cash and cant stop crying coz she feels so bad that money is the only thing standing between him and having his leg fixed. He is so bored he cant play with the other dogs cant jump up or do his fav tricks as please please if anyone can even donate even £1 as you can’t do below that on here ,  I’ know that’s a lot to ask because of Covid but MY DOG can run, he’ll have the best life in this universe , he’ll be able to run for food again ,  he’ll be able to slap us , to most it’s just a ‘pet’ but to him he’s my baby brother n I don’t want anything to stop me running down the road with him ( I can’t run either ) but his my bestest friend, I want my BABY BOY BACK he’s had enough, his so dopey to so anyone who has met him has fallen in love, I want him back to being Tom and Gerry with the cat, sitting on us like he doesn’t weigh a single pound, he’s the most amazing little boy I could ever imagine ❤️
