Hi, I'm Carlos Lopez, proud dog dad to Roxy, my best friend in the world.
This past week, our lives were turned upside down when Roxy suddenly started vomiting and having a high fever.
At 9:15 p.m., we rushed to the emergency vet. Thanks to the quick action of the incredible vet techs and doctors, Roxy was stabilized. Roxy has been admitted to the hospital with alarming symptoms and concerning lab results. Her internist suspects anaphylaxis, with the initial question being whether she may have been stung by a bee. At this time, her prognosis remains guarded. Additional diagnostic tests, including an ultrasound scheduled for noon, are expected to provide critical answers about her condition.

Unfortunately, she may now be suffering from aspiration pneumonia due to recent vomiting episodes that left her too weak to properly expel. There’s a high likelihood she inhaled some vomit, compounding her already fragile state. Additionally, her back pain persists, adding to her discomfort. Due to her lab results, she will be switched to medications that bypass liver metabolism, and there is a strong possibility she may require plasma transfusions due to severely low blood clotting factors.
Roxy remains an emergency case, and her condition is complex and evolving. We are seeking financial support to cover her ongoing intensive care, diagnostic tests, specialized treatments, and any required transfusions.
Total cost of the previous ER was about $3,000.
We are now taking her to a specialist vet who is quoting us approximately $9,000.
Your generosity will make all the difference in ensuring Roxy receives the urgent care she needs to fight through this critical period. Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. Thank you for supporting Roxy during her time of need.
Your funds will contribute on paying off the bills and help us get roxy on the right path of health
