Hi, my name is Brandon Blackwell. On 1/28/23 I was hit head on by a drunk driver as I was coming down Cagle mountain when the driver came across into my lane on a curved area of the road. The truck I was in rolled down the mountain side before it hit a boulder that stopped it. Many have said I shouldn’t have lived for how bad the wreck was. But I thank God for keeping me here. My buddy Greg was also in the truck and walked away with lacerations and bruised up. I ended up with a fractured C6 and C7 as well as lacerations and a shattered right heel. I am now in a neck brace and had surgery on my heel to repair it. A total of 4 plates and 9 screws/pins. I can not bear weight on my foot for months. And then I’ll have to have physical therapy and work on bearing weight around summer time. It could be a year before I’m better but I will not be able to go back to working till the end of summer and that’s if things heal good.
Im not a person who ask for handouts but was told I should open a donation page to help with the medical expenses. So I thank everyone in advance that donates. And if you can not donate that is perfectly fine and I ask that you consider sharing.

If you haven't seen me in the last few weeks I have started to bear weight on my foot and walk in my normal shoe again with a support in it. My walking is not back to 100% normal but we are working towards it!*
