In Memory of Jason Reinhart
Donation protected
This past weekend, on February 7, 2015, Jason Reinhart lost his battle with cancer.
Many of us knew Jason as a classmate, brother, son, athlete, or maybe even just as a mere acquaintance; and some of us were lucky enough to have Jason as a close friend like I was. Which is the reason why I wanted to set up this donation page in Memory of Jason and to help aide his family in any way that we possibly can.
When a loved one is diagnosed with cancer like Jason was, not only does the patient have to endure the pain and extensive treatments that this disease requires, but the patients family becomes their number 1 fan and support group 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days out of the year. Things like driving 4 hours just to get to doctors appointments or treatments, or sleeping only half the night just to be by their side(because we all know the side effects of chemo these days). I mention all of these things because I learned that Jason’s family and Fiancé Heather, were apart of his support group these last couple of years doing exactly what I just mentioned. Jason’s mom would not hesitate a second to hop in her car and drive from Montgomery to Philadelphia by herself just to be by her son’s side during these difficult times.
I am sure that all of you can imagine the amount of gas used driving to and from Philadelphia at least 3 times a week, hospital bills, clinical trail sessions, and sleepless nights that this family has acquired over these past few years. I know that if you speak to either Jason’s Mom, Dad, or Heather they would tell us the only thing that they need is our support and prayers and that would be good enough for them. However, I feel that as a friend, classmate, teammate, acquaintance, or just a caring person we would be able to help them out so much more. I know we are asking for a monetary donation but these means would mean much more then just that.
There will be a memorial service and celebration of Life for Jason at the First Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, which is when I plan to present all of the funds raised from this page to Jason’s family. Please help support the Reinhart family in memory of Jason through this tragic time!
Thank you in advance for all of your help and God Bless .
