Helping the Hamiltons
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
There are many things I will never understand in life, but there are a few truths of which I am certain:
1) There are no certainties or guarantees in life; none of us are promised a tomorrow. 2) Your entire world really can change in the blink of an eye. 3) No parent should ever have to bury their child. 4) Terrible tragedies can happen to the very best people. 5) Sometimes, in a cruel twist of fate, all of the above can happen at once, and when it does, it is unimaginable, incomprehensible, and earth shattering.
Friends, this confluence of circumstance is exactly where our dear Hamilton family finds themselves today. The news of Edmond’s sudden passing has been shocking to us all. Add in the fact this tragedy happened right before the holidays…. there are just no words, really. I am still having a hard time processing and wrapping my mind around that as I know so many others are as well.
There are a few other facts I know to be true: 1) Medical bills will start to trickle in while the family is still very much in the beginning stages of mourning the loss of their son and 2) It is during the most difficult times, when we need help the most, that it is the hardest to ask for it.
It is with all of this in mind I gently persuaded Tyler and Emily to let me set up a GoFundMe account on their behalf. They are very much living moment to moment right now but will need a little financial help in the weeks ahead. Edmond spent several days in the ICU and the medical expenses incurred will be overwhelming. If some of their family and friends could help ease the financial burden just a bit, they will be able to focus on both grieving the loss of Edmond and helping Elliott and each other during this impossible time.
No donation is too small. All donations will go directly to Tyler and Emily to cover medical and funeral expenses.
I have seen the outpouring of support, and it has been absolutely amazing! I know many people love the Hamiltons dearly and want to help in any way they can. I hope the GoFundMe page provides that option.
I can’t think of any family this holiday season more deserving. I hope all the love and support they receive will shed a little light and some comfort during their darkest of days.
Thank you in advance for all the love and support! I know it means the world to Tyler and Emily to see how much everyone cares and to see what kind of impact Edmond made in all of our lives.
Best,
