On August 10, 2025 at approximately 11:15 PM, my son David received a call from a neighbor that his home was on fire. He raced home from work to find out that his place and everything in it was a total loss.

However, the biggest and most heartbreaking loss was his dog Theo, who was inside. Theo wasn't just a pet, he was David's boy, his family and most beloved companion. The comfort of shared routines, the peace of always having him nearby, and their adventures together . . . all gone way too soon. It's hard to imagine the weight of the grief and helplessness David must be carrying right now.

I'm asking for donations to help him begin rebuilding his life. Everything will need to be replaced; his clothing, furnishings and the everyday essentials we often take for granted.

Anyone who knows our family knows that we lost everything in a fire 25 years ago. I can't imagine the pain he must be going through, having to edure such a devastating loss once again.
