Stem Cell Treatment for Traumatic Brain Injury

Donation protected

This is the second round of fundraising for Anthony's Stem Cell treatment. We raised $2470 last round, and we are so grateful. It was so heartwarming to see all the love and support we received. Hopefully we can raise a bit more to help with this $30,000 procedure.

My husband was in a terrible car crash in 2010, causing him to have a Traumatic Brain Injury that affects our daily life. He has memory lapses, seizure like episodes, motor skill issues, and issues interacting with others. Occasionally he needs a cane to walk, or assistance getting dressed. When his brain is overwhelmed or hot he can sleep for long periods of time, or pass out due to his temperature sensitivity. I have been his primary caregiver for years and I know how badly he wants to be able to return to society and be a functioning member. We have hopes that after this treatment he will be able to return to the workforce, and participate in everyday activities that many of us take for granted.

Despite his issues, Anthony has been my hero for years. On what we call "good brain days", I have watched him run into literal fire for people he doesn't know. He volunteers with the Red Cross at fire camps to help those impacted. He is an office of the court through the CASA program, advocating for foster youth. He has collected and donated thousands of toys and school supplies for underprivileged children. His work for our veterans is tireless and never ending, even hosting free ptsd support or being on call for anyone who need to talk. I have watched him hold people's hands as they passed away from Cancer. He is by far the most amazing human I have ever met, and he inspires me to continue to do good despite the awful in our world now a days. If anyone deserves a chance at a normal life, it is him. And we are so incredibly hopeful that this treatment will allow our family to finally function as a family, and allow us to continue to do the amazing non-profit work he has led the charge on for all these years.

If you can donate, thank you. If you can't, that's OK too. Please share and spread awareness of the struggles invisible illness can cause.

Thank you all.
