My name is Mandy, my beautiful sister in-law Candice is originally from Jamaica, she is now a nurse here in Saskatoon. Most of Candice’s family including her parents still live back at home on the island. Unfortunately with the devastation that hurricane Melissa recently brought to Jamaica they have been affected in ways I could not even begin to imagine going through. I knew I wanted to do something to help so I suggested to Candice that she allow me to start a go fund me for her family. Her parents Audrey and Jelico have had significant damages to their family home. Her uncles Patrick and Brownman have sadly lost their homes. My goal with this fundraiser is to be able to allow this family to try and rebuild in the face of overwhelming disaster. Below is a message from Candice

“Due to terrible disaster conditions that my country Jamaica is facing after the passing of the hurricane Melissa my family and friends back home are struggling with the aftermath of the passing of the hurricane they are in desperate need for assistance with food water and clothing medical supplies and relief supplies please help if you can Jamaica is at ground zero my parents and families houses is terribly damaged and in need of repairs some of my family members have nowhere to live anywhere you can help please support we can use all the help we can get.”
