Funeral expenses for my dad

My father, Anthony Gordon Sr, was a friend to all. It didn’t matter if you were the president of a Fortune 500 company or the local gas station attendant, if my dad met you more than once… you were his friend. My dad would do anything for his friends and family. Now, at a time of great need I am calling for the help of all of those who my father called a friend, all of those that I call a friend, or anyone who has kindness in their heart.

Unfortunately my father fell suddenly ill on Friday, June 23, and after a brief hospital visit he returned home thinking all was well. Then in the late hours of Sunday night, my father had to return to the hospital, and only a few short hours later… he left us. Now, only 2 short years after burying my mom, I am left to lay to rest my last parent. Never could I have believed that at the age of 23 I would be faced with the grief of having to say goodbye to both of my parents and continue this road of life alone.

Unfortunately, my father was less prepared for this outcome than my mother was, as his illness was sudden and unexpected. Medical expenses quickly added up, and hospital bills will soon be arriving. Add to that the financial burden of funeral expenses and burial fees and I’m faced with a crisis, and minimal resources.
