Help Me Go To Cornell!

Hey everyone! My name is Aalayna and I'm a junior in high school in Michigan. I'm enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program; an active slam poet; member of the S.A.D.D and UNICEF club; vegan; softball player; and volunteer at Binder Park Zoo. My entire life I knew I needed to be a veterinarian and aspire to concentrate in conservation medicine. I've always been one who sought to be the best in all areas of personal expertise and that includes obtaining the best education so that I can become an excellent veterinarian. Therefore, my dream is to go to Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in the fall of 2017. However, I am currently applying to Cornell for their Cornell Summer College program where I will enroll in the conservation medicine program. The program will give me experience in the field, meet veterinarians who are currently practicing the field, and also meet other students from all over the world who share the same passion I do. Coming from a single-parent family, though, is an obstacle in regards to funding for the program whose total cost is $6,020. I am currently working at my local AMC movie theatre and am applying for financial aid but still need some assistance. Any amount is appreciated and I will be starting a blog when I attend the camp as to keep donators updated on what their donations helped me to achieve :) Thank you all so much for your kindness.
