As many of you know, our dear friend Chris Miller is currently in the hospital after suffering life-changing injuries. Chris has been paralyzed from the waist down, and his life—along with his family's—has been forever altered.
For years, Chris has been a dedicated assistant hockey coach, offering unwavering support and encouragement to our children. He's been there for them, always motivating them to push their limits, giving them strength and guidance. Now, it’s our turn to show Chris the same level of support and care that he has so selflessly given to others.
Chris has spent his life giving back to the community and to his hockey family, never asking for anything in return. Now, he needs us. He needs the kindness and generosity of his friends, teammates, and even strangers to help him get the rehab he desperately needs. Without it, his chance for a future that includes independence is uncertain.
Unfortunately, Chris does not have the insurance coverage to pay for the rehab he requires. The road to recovery is long and difficult, but we believe in miracles—and we believe in the strength of our community. We know that if we come together, we can help him overcome this enormous challenge.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to cover Chris’s rehab and the necessary equipment that will allow him to regain strength, learn how to live independently, and ultimately return to being the father, coach, and shining light we all know and love.
To date, we’ve raised over $13,000, which was paid as a down payment to help get Chris started on his rehab, but we need more to ensure he can stay in treatment and keep fighting for his future.
Every dollar donated will go directly to Chris’s rehab and the equipment he needs, including a wheelchair and other vital necessities. We are personally overseeing all donations to ensure that every penny is used to support his recovery.
Please consider donating to help Chris on his journey toward recovery. Together, we can give him the chance he needs to regain his independence, return to coaching, and be the bright light for his children and his community once again.
If you can't donate to this GoFundMe, you can help by sharing the fundraiser link on social media or through personal messages. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
