Until three months ago he was seemingly “a picture of health.” Sad to say, that almost suddenly, he went from a healthy young man to someone needing a heart transplant. His doctors have diagnosed the problem as "advanced congestive heart failure." He was transported from his home in Powell to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. His parents, sister, and girlfriend traveled there with him. Waiting for a heart transplant required that his Vanderbilt doctors put him on a heart pump and now he is waiting. He’s unable to work, his parents had to rent an apartment for him in Nashville, and we're sure bills are piling up.

My wife and I are friends of his parents, Phil and Sandi Snapp, who go to our church (Powell United Methodist Church), and we are hoping that some of our friends, family, and community will join us and be able to donate to Philip and his family to help defray the costs.
