In Memory of Henry McMonagle

It is with great sadness that I’m announcing the passing of Henry Mc Monagle. My father’s long journey from the cold, mean streets of Glasgow, Scotland to the sunny desert of Tempe, Arizona ended with peace and dignity on the morning of Friday, December 10 of 2021. Those that knew and loved him would attest to his intelligence, generosity, wisdom and warmth. He was an athlete and an intellectual. A man who would teach me how to box and play soccer, then recite epic poems from memory. He was highly educated but always humble, never losing the perspective that growing up in poverty gave him. He was supportive of the music that my brother and I pursued and never judgmental when we made mistakes. He was all this and also one of my greatest friends and mentors. I will be forever grateful for all the time we spent together in this life and I will always know him as one of the most amazing people I’ve ever known. Rest In Peace, Dad.

As we lay Henry to rest, my family asks for your support with mounting funeral, memorial and end-of-life care expenses. We humbly thank you for your consideration during this difficult time.
