Tonight we got a call about a dog dumped at Engine 59 in Harlem.

Her name is Zoe.

Tony is heading to the vet (VEG) now to get her evaluated and stabilized. What we know right now is enough to know this is serious. Zoe has injuries consistent with prolonged trauma and likely needs stitches. We won’t know the full extent until the vets clean her wounds and keep her overnight.

Right now, she will be hospitalized for at least the next few days while we figure out what comes next.

She needs immediate medical care. And we need to be ready for whatever that looks like.
