UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared the story of Sara and Adam, after 9 days in intensive care on life support, Sara sadly passed away at Coimbra University Hospital in Portugal, we are all absolutely devastated. If you know anyone who would like to help further with a donation to help out Paula with the cremation, or to just share, as Paula needs as much help as possible, please can you.

Paula is planning to come to the UK when she is ready to release Sara’s ashes as Sara lived in and loved England. All of the donations will be passed on to Paula xx

Sara came to the UK from Portugal to follow her dream of working in motorsport. She worked hard to support herself, earning a Motorsport Engineering MEng/BEng (Hons) at Coventry University, followed by a Master’s degree. Her passion for cars led her to Adam, who lovingly describes her as “his soulmate” Sara had just begun an exciting new career with MIRA and recently moved into a new flat.

Last week, while driving to Portugal for a holiday, tragedy struck. Just two hours from her mum’s home, Sara and Adam were involved in a devastating car accident. Their vehicle spun out, hit a tree, and caught fire. In a moment of immense courage, Adam pulled Sara from the burning car and kept her alive until help arrived. Adam is badly bruised, and Sara is currently on life support.

Our families are coming together during this heartbreaking time, and we’re asking for any support you can offer to help them with essential needs. They had most of their belongings with them and lost them in the car fire. Your generosity will make a huge difference.
