Henderson Family

From Greg Henderson to our dance family in the hours following Hurrican Ian:

"Hi everyone. I don’t typically reach out for help and I don’t even know what help looks like right now, but this is our situation…
My wife Chelsie and I, along with our two girls Shaina and Nora have incurred a total loss to our home in Englewood.
The girls and I evacuated to Ft Lauderdale (mom is in MN) and are safe, but from what I understand the home is uninhabitable as we have no shingles left and the ceilings have come down in several rooms. The home was inundated with water and it was coming in through the ceiling, windows, walls, and outlets.
The house is wired for a generator (which I have) but I have been told not to power it up because there is a fire hazard due to the water in the walls/electrical runs. I may use the generator to get fans going throughout the house and dry it as best as I can. I need extension cords for this. It will need to be rebuilt.
We moved from MN to Englewood in August and were so excited to have accomplished our dream of moving to Florida. The girls are established in their schools and making new friends at school and dance. I don’t know what the coming weeks look like, but we are not leaving. This will not drive us out."
"I don’t really know what else to say or do, or who to ask for help. It’s an hour by hour thing right now. Please pray for us."

Please help us give this wonderful family the support they need in this awful time. The Hendersons are in search of a rental home for the time being, and will need to replace all of their belongings.
