In Lisa’s Memory
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Lisa Osmanian-Weinfurter on Monday, January 27, 2025, after her courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was a loving daughter, mother, wife, sister and friend whose kindness, generosity, strength, and spirit touched the lives of so many. Her loss leaves a profound emptiness in all of us. This fund has shifted to not only continue supporting her family during this incredibly difficult time, but to honor Lisa’s memory in a meaningful way. Thank you for your love and support during this heartbreaking time.
In memory of Lisa and in lieu of flowers, please consider donating directly to this GoFundMe. Donations will be directed to the following organizations Lisa loved.

Body & Brain: Yoga & Tai Chi Irvine
Lisa first met Master Kim from Body & Brain several years ago when he was working with her high school students in Irvine, teaching them mindfulness practice. After her cancer diagnosis, Lisa embraced a daily practice with Body & Brain, finding healing energy, physical strength, and a deep sense of spiritual connection. She tapped into this transformational practice especially during the most difficult parts of her cancer journey. Lisa requested that donations be made in her memory.

Hisamatsu Tamura Elementary School
Lisa and her sisters, Nicole and Rose Ann, began attending Tamura School in 1984 after their family moved to Fountain Valley from New York. Tamura became their second home, with their parents, Cherry and Nick Osmanian, actively volunteering in and out of the classroom—helping with the talent show, harvest festival, and other PTA events—becoming part of the school's close-knit community. The Osmanian sisters received an excellent education, developed leadership skills, and built lasting relationships with their teachers and classmates. Tamura has remained close to their hearts.
Years later, when Lisa and Paul moved back to Fountain Valley with their children, Nathan and Aria, Tamura was the natural choice. Lisa saw the same student-centered commitment to learning and quickly got involved, volunteering in and out of the classroom. She helped revive Meet the Masters, a childhood favorite, taught mindfulness to students, and connected high school volunteers to campus events. As an active PTA member, she brought creativity and a strong sense of community to her work.
More than anything, Lisa loved Tamura’s students. Affectionately known as Mrs. W, she was a familiar, friendly presence on campus and will be deeply missed by students, teachers, and staff. In her memory, Lisa requested that donations be made.
