Help For The Begg Family
Donation protected
8 weeks ago this beautiful woman went in for a check up due to abdominal pain along with other symptoms and three days later was diagnosed with Stage 3 Bowel Cancer.
Her name is Stephanie Begg and she is a very loved family friend of ours. Stephanie is 36 years old, a loving wife and mother to 3 amazing boys aged 19,11 & 3. Right now Stephanie is in her third week of combined Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy. After the fifth week of this she will have a short break and then endure a gruelling 6 months of intravenous Chemotherapy. Already the effects of treatment have taken hold and she has been hospitalised this week.
The Begg Family are humble, helpful and everyone's rock..never would they dream of asking for help. But they need it.
Stephanie is South African and her Sister and Mother both flew over immediately when she was diagnosed. They provided invaluable support to Stephanie and her family, her sister had to return and her beloved Mother intended to stay long after treatment had finished to assist with not only emotional support to her daughter and family but practical help to the household by doing all daily household chores but sadly due to visitor visa restrictions, Stephanie's Mother has to return to South Africa in 4 days time.
I am not asking to raise a huge amount of money for this family, just enough to hire a weekly cleaner, maybe a laundry service and most importantly something for her 3 boys to give them something to smile about. Whether it be tickets to Bathurst 1000, Monster Trucks, Rugby Union or just a day out involving something they love to bring some joy if only a small amount into their lives during this very hard time.
Her children are amazing, Christopher her eldest son does so much for his family and siblings, without complaint. This 19 year old young man is studying at Uni and will be dropping off and picking up his brothers from daycare and school each day during his Mothers treatment and recovery period. He is a very special and far from typical young man who would normally be out with friends finding his place in the world, instead, he's there for his brothers and parents.
Any funds donated will be put straight towards a cleaning service, laundry service and a special something to give to the boys as a reprieve while their Mum fights the battle of all battles.
From my family and her friends, we thank you.
