Make a Difference with Chris

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Chris Alessandri, and I was diagnosed with Tourette Disorder at age 9.  Tourette is a  Neurodevelopmental Disorder that causes involuntary motor and vocal “tics”.  At the present time, there is no cure.

The Long Island Tourette Association has given me hope, and I have come a long way in reaching many goals since I was diagnosed.  I am a Youth Ambassador for the LITAA, and I speak in schools and hospitals educating and spreading awareness about Tourette. I was recently awarded the Aaron Berley Youth Service Award, which was an honor for me. I wish to continue my service as a Youth Ambassador for the foreseeable future, and I hope my work in spreading awareness continues to have an effect on those who listen.

On JUNE 8, 2019, my Chapter will be hosting it’s only Fundraiser (Family Fun Day), which has great meaning to me and my family as the LITAA has changed my life in many ways. I have tremendous support from my Chapter, family, friends, and teachers, which has given my story a truly happy ending.

Please consider donating to this wonderful cause which will make a difference in the lives of many of us living with Tourette Disorder.  Funds are used to support vital Chapter activities, such as support group meetings, advocacy, and social events.

Whether your donation be large or small, or even if you are unable to donate at this time, I thank you for taking the time to read this.
